Traditional Bulgarian Fishing Boats
The traditional wooden fishing boats used on the Danube River near Popina and throughout the region (especially near Tutrakan) are known as Lotka or Tutrakanka. These, in particular, are often flat-bottomed, durable, and sometimes called "Tutrakanka" after the famous boat-building town.
