Plett Rock & Surf Fishing Experiences offers guided land-based rock and surf fishing along the Plettenberg Bay coastline — one of South Africa's most spectacular stretches of ocean.
We target Bronze Whaler sharks, Spotted Gully Sharks, Kob, rays, and a variety of other coastal species from the rocks and beaches around Plettenberg Bay, Keurboomstrand, and Natures Valley. Bronze Whaler shark season runs October through May — this is our headline experience and nothing else in Plett tourism comes close to it.
Sessions run from 4 hours to 5 full days depending on what you're looking for. Half-day, full-day, night-bite, and multi-day expedition formats are all available. Groups of up to 4 anglers per session — small, personal, and fully guided.
All rods, reels, bait, and tackle are included. You bring nothing but yourself and a good attitude.

I didn't set out to become a fishing guide. I was a school principal who fished seriously and loved sharing what I knew. When friends and family started landing sharks and big fish under my guidance, something clicked — I had found a way to combine two things I genuinely love. Teaching people, and the ocean.
Today I guide on the Plettenberg Bay coastline — Bronze Whaler sharks, Kob, rays, and everything in between. My background as an educator means clients don't just catch fish. They leave understanding the water, the conditions, and the craft.
This coastline is extraordinary. Most visitors never access it properly. That's what I'm here to change.
